Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what you actively give us, which is:

Coaching applications. Your name, email address, optional phone number, and your answers about your goal, training availability, obstacles and preferred start date.
Newsletter signups. Your email address, and which page you subscribed from.

We do not run advertising trackers, we do not use third-party analytics cookies, and we do not attempt to identify you across other websites.

Why we collect it

To reply to your coaching enquiry and arrange a consultation.
To deliver the free guide and the newsletter you asked for.
To keep basic records of enquiries so we can pick up a conversation where it left off.

We will never sell your information, rent it, or pass it to a third party for their own marketing.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in a private database accessible only to Jakob. Where the site is hosted or the database is operated by a third-party provider, your data may be stored on servers outside your country. Those providers are bound by their own security and confidentiality obligations.

How long we keep it

Coaching enquiries are kept for as long as they may reasonably be relevant to a coaching relationship, and are deleted on request. Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can, at any time and at no cost:

Ask what information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
Ask us to delete your information entirely.
Unsubscribe from emails, either with the link in any email or by simply asking.

Email hello@jakobmcdowell.com.au and we'll action it. If you are in Australia and you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie used is a session cookie on the private admin area, which is never set for ordinary visitors.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access to submissions is password-protected. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect payment details, government identifiers or health records through this website, which keeps the risk low by design.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
